Thomas Albers, DVM

Start Date at Stow Kent Animal Hospital: 11/3/67

Dr. Albers is a graduate from Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1966 and began practicing at Stow Kent Animal Hospital in 1967. Dr. Albers is still very active in the day to day functions of the hospital but has retired from seeing patients. He began the practice with his wife Carmela over 45 years ago.

Mark Carlson, DVM

Start Date at Stow Kent Animal Hospital: 7/1/84

Dr. Carlson is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983 and began practicing at Stow Kent Animal Hospital in 1984. He enjoys being outdoors, snow skiing, music and spending time with his family and Golden Retrievers. Dr. Carlson practices exclusively at Stow Kent Animal Hospital.

Douglas Paroff, DVM

Start Date at Stow Kent Animal Hospital: 9/11/00

Dr. Paroff is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995 and began practicing at Stow Kent Animal Hospital in 2000. He enjoys hiking, biking, running ultra-marathons, camping and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Paroff practices exclusively at Stow Kent Animal Hospital.

Angela Albers, DVM

Start Date at Stow Kent Animal Hospital: 6/30/05

Dr. Albers is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005 and began practicing at Stow Kent Animal Hospital in 2005 but she worked here as an assistant for several years before that. She enjoys traveling, literature, spending time with her cats, and going to museums.

Eric E. Brooks, DVM, DABVP (Canine & Feline Practice)

Start Date at Stow Kent Animal Hospital: 5/13/09

Dr. Brooks is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005 and began practicing at Stow Kent Animal Hospital in 2009. He spent 4 years with the United States Army on active duty caring for military working dogs and horses. He enjoys music, reading, chess, computers and spending time with his family.

Suzanne Paroff, DVM

Start Date at Stow Kent Animal Hospital: 3/14/16

Dr. Suzanne Paroff is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Paroff spent several years with us earlier in her career, and has now rejoined our team in 2016. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and pets. She also enjoys reading, running, knitting and crocheting. Dr. Paroff practices exclusively at Stow Kent Animal Hospital.

Deanna Fuller, DVM

Start Date at Stow Kent Animal Hospital: 11/4/19

Dr. Fuller is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and she began practicing at Stow Kent Animal Hospital in 2019. Prior to her employment at Stow Kent Animal Hospital, she provided care to a variety of companion animals including large animal medicine. She enjoys the company of her cats, Leo and Kitten.

Victoria Kwasa, DVM

Start Date at Stow Kent Animal Hospital: 7/1/21

Dr. Victoria Kwasa obtained a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University in Animal Science with a minor in music and her degree in Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State in 2017.

Dr. Kwasa moved to Ohio with her husband who is an assistant professor at Kent State University. The Kwasa family increased by 1 when they welcomed a baby boy soon after their move.

Dr. Victoria has a special interest in pocket pets, especially reptiles, and wildlife, but is willing to work with any animal that comes her way (except maybe tarantulas).

Mark Bilger, DVM

Start Date at Stow Kent Animal Hospital: 5/29/2022

Dr. Bilger is from southeast Michigan. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022.

He has a greyhound, two cats, two false map turtles, and some rat snakes. He breeds Taiwanese beauty snakes and designs enclosure fixtures for fun. He also loves hiking, herping, and fossil hunting in his free time.

Dr. Bilger will see appointments at each of our 3 clinics and will eventually partner in seeing our exotic patients and companion pocket pets.

Carmela Albers, RVT

Carmela Albers graduated with a degree in education. Her focus turned to owning a business and she became an integral part of the daily function of the hospital. Carm was the hospital’s first RVT. She is still active in the decision-making process for the hospital and keeps her thumb on the pulse of the business.
